This is a contrast in scale between the big tuscan fruit and the smaller ones in the back. It gives the viewer a sense of depth or something that they can relate to. Also look how small the branch is compared to the fruit. In terms of editing, I really liked the saturation of the red and the hazy background. To get the hazy background, I put the clarity all the war down. Then used the brush tool on the fruit and increased the clarity, to enhance the focus on the ingle fruit.
This is actually a widow from within the Vatican museum, showing the lovely garden outside. Not only is it a frame within a frame, but it really shows a contrast in color. Between the white/green garden and the dark interior of the museum. I was able to do minimal editing because when I took the picture I set the exposure really high, intending this effect.
I really liked this depth of view photo, with the tremendous amount of contrast in texture between the eroded marble, the brick pavement, and the smooth marble of the church. The church is in a small town in the center of Italy called Assisi, and the church itself is named after the San Francesco, who was known for his "magical powers", and the good things he did to save peoples lives during the earthquake of 1247.
