Floating Flower |
For my mood photo I wanted something really special, where the light adds drama to the photo and vibrant colors from the flower bring it to life. It gives me the feel of a battle where the light has taken down the enemy force, but one man remains(the flower). Then with the lighting and editing, it gives the viewer the impression that the flower is floating, coming back to life and bringing life to the photo after the battle. With the vignette, it adds to the drama surrounding the "battle".

Warm Colors |
This grid is a combination of multiple different flower pictures. They are formatted in a way in which all nine pictures are collaged next to each other, to make another flower. I like to think of it like an inception, where there is a flower within a flower. In terms of editing, each quadrant has slight varieties. The orange saturation is brought up, to give a really warm, energetic feel. Also the brightness is brought up, along with shadows, to get a really cool contrast between the black velvet and the fiery orange.

Color Harmonies Again |
In this grid, I really love the sunset mood that is emitted, because of the warm color harmonies that are used. The way I did this, was I cropped the original image into 9 different segments, then I messed with the color values to get a variety of purples/oranges. Then I put them all back together, and with the new image, I repeated them with other minute color changes, shown in the picture above and bellow. With the rotation, the intention was to add some confusion to the viewer, but I didn't want to add too much rotation, because I didn't want to have my head spin in circles every time I looked at it.

Color Compliments |
The compliment in color between the two colors leaves the viewer with very distressed eyes. It makes it hard to focus in one place on the grid, and it also makes the purple flower pop out. In terms of editing, the images were cut in half and pasted together to give a more smooth transition between the compliments.

Cool Colors |
I just loved the original photo, where the contrast between the matte black of the volcanic rock, and the baby white blue of the blue lagoon water gives the mood of a deserted landscape with harsh living conditions, yet with a beautiful soft side. It really shows the beauty of nature. Aside from the original image, in my mind, the grid is how the water would look throughout the months of the year. Which is why I have 12 squares, each one symbolizing how the water would have been during that specific month. Although It is only one picture, I decided to change the shade of blue to give the life to my idea. I got the idea from a grid that I have at my home of one picture of Mount Hood for every month.

Monochrome |
I liked the Idea of one subject and making a grid out of multiple images. Because all of my previous grids, were repetition based, I wanted to make this one different. So with these multiple images of a bike, I added the same filter, with minute changes following that, to get an exaggerated monochrome effect.
