Project 4 Part 2

Here is an image of two different trees put together in the form of a diptych. The photo is very symmetrically balanced with the tree trunks branching in opposite directions. In both images I did similar editing. I increased the saturation, and the hue. Along with that the clarity and contrast to make the bark really pop out.
Both these photos come from Iceland. So in this diptych, I wanted to prove that it's not all ice. There is a contrast in texture between the ice water and rock that make the single image much more vibrant and appealing. They fit well together because of similar colors, and location.

All three of these were taken within a 20 foot radius of each other, which is why they work so well together. The increase in saturation of the red makes it really feel like a fall in Italy. Also the rusted truck and its texture adds to mood. It reminds me of the stereotypical photo from the 80's where the colors are not really balanced after processing the film.

These are the walls of antique houses in Pompeii. It's beautiful to see how well preserved the walls are, and how over time different building techniques were used. The variation in texture adds an interesting aspect to the photo. Reminds me of a grid that I saw in a art museum titled, "Doors of Milano", only difference that the grid was about doors instead of walls.
